The Vidyalaya has been awarded state first award among the participated union territories in computer literacy excellence award, 2005 by the ministry of information and technology for the year 2007.Shri. B. Sudhakara Reddy, principal received the award from Thiru A.Raja, Union Minister on 28th November 2007 in Vignan Bhavan, New Delhi.  It was crowning glory of the moment for the Vidyalaya.  The award carries a cash prize of Rs.1.5lakhs, a memento and a certificate. 
The Vidyalaya has also been received the INTEL Award for the year 2008. Principal Shri B.Sudhaskara Reddy received the same on 18th February 2008 in New Delhi.
